St. Jude USA Jobs Careers Description/Overview

The Chair, Department of Psychology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will provide leadership for the development and growth of departmental faculty, staff, trainees, and operations that support the dual missions around patient care and research. The Chair will lead the implementation and optimization of the goals of the department as outlined in the St. Jude Strategic Plan FY22-27.

The Chair will have proven leadership experience to develop faculty, trainees and staff in the department. Strong communication skills are necessary to facilitate the engagement of all departmental faculty and staff with institutional stakeholders. A strong spirit of collaboration is essential to the Chair’s success.

Ideal Experience
The ideal Chair candidate will have a proven track record of mentorship, institutional and national leadership, clinical and research expertise, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Impactful, innovative, and well-funded research and a strong history of collaboration are essential to the role. Experience with faculty career development is critical.
