Job Overview: The core responsibility of a Follow Up Representative is contacting insurance groups to secure payments of unpaid or partially paid claims on the A/R (Accounts Receivable). Each Follow Up Representative has key metrics for performance standards and goals.
Location: Position is a work-from-home role. ClaimCare has Employees in 15 different states (and many more cities) all across the U.S. The computer technology is provided by ClaimCare, and employees provide high-speed internet connection, router, monitor(s), and keyboard.
Experience Required: At least 2 years direct experienc e in A/R knowledge & experience (more than 2 years is even better). Depth of knowledge of various Payers (includes Commercials, Medicare, Medicaid, and W/C).
Formal Education Required:
* High school or equivalent minimum.
* Some advanced education preferred .
Abilities Required:
* Ability to work effectively (do the right thing) and efficiently (do the thing right).
* Ability to maintain confidentiality (a necessity in healthcare).
* Ability to work accurately (a necessity in healthcare).
* Ability to prioritize well and execute under pressure (one of the reasons we value Military Veterans).

*Health care insurance claim practices and compliance.
*Billing systems, clearinghouses, and Payers.
*Medical terminology.
*Working open AR.
*Gathering and reporting claim information.
*Trouble-shooting claim insurance problems.
*Written and verbal communication and customer relations.
