Learning Support Assistant, The Arbor School – Immediate Start

We are currently looking for outstanding Learning Support Assistants to join the team immediately.

ABOUT THE ARBOR SCHOOL

The Arbor School is a growing school situated in Al Furjan, a new and developing area near the Dubai Marina, in the UAE.

The school opened in September 2018 and currently has over 550 children on the register. The school offers the National Curriculum for England with a focus on Ecoliteracy, Sustainability and Environmental Justice which are incorporated into the curriculum across all year groups.

The school has a diverse student body with children from over 50 countries, creating a truly International environment.

An Arbor Support Assistant has the opportunity to be more than an ordinary Support Assistant, as they will develop their professional skills and knowledge in an extraordinary learning environment. The Arbor School seeks experienced individuals for an exciting opportunity within our unique school. The successful applicants will complement and support the delivery of the curriculum and to support students’ learning across a range of subjects and settings, and to lead the learning where appropriate in a classroom under the direction of the class teacher, utilising the school’s extraordinary learning spaces.

REQUIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Excellent English language skills
IELTS score at advanced level 6.5 to 8.0. This requirement is to be completed before official start date at Arbor if successful in the recruitment process
A recognised and appropriate childcare qualification, e.g., CACHE Level 1, SEND related qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in education and/or relevant field or HLTA qualification is preferred
Two years’ experience working in a school or similar setting
Experience in working with English National Curriculum
Experience working in an international, premium quality school
