Our Category Management Team plays the role of the balancer between customer demands and the requirements of the business by undertaking incredible financial responsibility, acting as the ultimate decision-maker behind big avenues of spending, and working with suppliers to establish an overall product portfolio that goes beyond meeting customer expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensure expertise in customer strategy and shopper behavior across relevant categories to influence business planning initiatives and plans that mutually grow KPIs across the organization
• Bring best in class shopper insights and industry knowledge to Getir, we want you to gather trends and market research to ensure our assortment is positioned competitively within the market!
• Develop strategic product/category recommendations, combining proven merchandising theory, data analysis and the Getir growth  strategy with solid analysis to maximize category sales
• Synthesize multiple data sources including internal sales data and syndicated data to provide insights
• Play a leading role in providing category management insights, analyzing business issues, and providing business insights and recommendations in the areas of assortment, pricing, and promotion to improve business results
• Present analysis, trend information and category opportunities directly to leadership, building a strong relationship directly with other key stakeholders to influence the overall strategy and support business objectives
• Work cross-functionally with supply chain for accurate forecasts based on demand, seasonality, and promotions
• In collaboration with the Marketing and Growth teams, lead the creation of seasonal and key initiative promotional events and collaborate alongside these teams for marketing activation opportunities to maximize sales

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, merchandising, business or related field
• A track record as a Category Manager or similar role with a combination of an existing network of suppliers in the US and a skillset of creating world class assortments; prefer 5+ years of Buying/Category Management experience within Food
• Advanced computer skills; advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Action oriented – Enjoys working hard; is action oriented and full of energy for things he/ she sees as challenging; not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning; seizes more opportunities than others.
• Perseverance – Pursues everything with energy, drive and a need to finish; seldom gives up before finishing, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks.
• Problem solving – Able to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; collaborates with all teams for answers; can anticipate issues before they arise.
• Peer relationships – Can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; can represent their own interests and yet be fair to other groups; can solve problems with peers with minimum disruption; is seen as a team player and is cooperative; easily gains trust and support of peers; encourages collaboration; can be candid with peers.
• Interpersonal Savvy – Relates well to all kinds of people regardless of management levelling; builds an appropriate rapport; builds constructive and effective relationships.

Salary Range

From 100,000 – 140,000 USD
