    Purpose/Background:

    BlackRock is currently seeking a Sales Support Professional to be based in Dubai to work with the Head of the UAE Client business, with the primary responsibility of supporting the sales process for institutional clients in the UAE, including sovereign wealth funds and pension funds. The candidate may also support other Middle Eastern countries that fall under the remit of their reporting manager. They will be responsible for delivering the broad BlackRock offering including index equities, active equities, fixed income, private capital, real estate, infrastructure, and alternative assets. In doing so, they will be a key participant in client dialogue with respect to BlackRock’s investment offerings, whole portfolio solutions capabilities, co-investment opportunities and product development; helping to drive both business and client strategy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Sales & Sales Support

    • All aspects of sales coverage; including helping to establish, develop and maintain client relationships
    • Coordination of the various sales stakeholders to organise physical and virtual client meetings, as well as roadshows and marketing campaigns
    • End to end ownership of the marketing cycle, including ensuring compliance with the firm’s rules and processes on marketing materials and on new prospect engagement
    • Ensure all client data and sales activity is promptly logged and accurately reflected in the CRM system and sales pipeline, where appropriate
    • Key point of contact for client queries and requests, working closely with the Head of Client Business and the client servicing team to respond, as required

    Country strategy:

    • Support the Head of the UAE Client Business in refining and developing a business plan to drive BlackRock’s Middle East business by contributing to account planning for clients, and owning follow-ups on commercial growth and budgeting
    • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of BlackRock’s regional offering, by channelling feedback and market intelligence to the appropriate stakeholders internally
    • Key stakeholder in preparatory workstreams relating to global senior executives’ engagement with regional clients; including briefing and strategy papers

    Knowledge / Experience:

    Sales support experience in the investment management industry is preferred, as is some experience with Middle Eastern clients. Strong English and Arabic speaker.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Strong academic qualifications
    • Background in sales or sales support
    • A strong understanding of capital markets; gained in asset and/or wealth management, or investment banking
    • A demonstrated sense of ownership towards delivering to clients and track record of commercial success

He or she will have an ability to understand the structures, decision-making and thought processes of different clients and therefore contribute to advisory of clients on existing products and on the structuring client-specific solutions
    • They will be a pro-active self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise

    Communication and Influencing Skills:

    • Able to articulate complex investment products and processes to a diverse client audience
    • A good listener with strong communication skills, applied internally and externally to information gathering, influencing and negotiating
    • A logical thinker with strong problem solving abilities

    Collaboration and Partnership:
