As a long standing client, the group is ready to expand and welcome a well respected and successful Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner to join their growing team.Position Overview:A Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner is a healthcare professional who specializes in the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine, an ancient healing system that focuses on balancing the body’s energy or Qi. TCM practitioners diagnose and treat various health conditions using a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, and other traditional therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Consultation and Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients to understand their medical history, symptoms, and overall health condition.
Perform physical examinations, including pulse and tongue diagnosis, to assess the patient’s energy imbalances and identify underlying causes of health issues.
Use questioning techniques to gather detailed information about the patient’s lifestyle, diet, emotional well-being, and other relevant factors.
Treatment Planning and Implementation:
Develop personalized treatment plans based on the patient’s diagnosis, using a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, dietary recommendations, and lifestyle advice.
Administer acupuncture treatments by inserting fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the flow of Qi and restore balance.
Prescribe and prepare customized herbal remedies, which may include a combination of plant-based ingredients, minerals, and animal products, to address specific health conditions.
Provide dietary and nutritional guidance, recommending specific foods or food combinations to support the patient’s healing process.
Recommend and demonstrate therapeutic exercises, such as tai chi or qigong, to promote physical and mental well-being.
Follow-up and Monitoring:
Schedule regular follow-up appointments to assess the patient’s progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support and guidance.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments by observing changes in symptoms, pulse diagnosis, and tongue examination.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress, and any modifications made.
Health Education and Promotion:
Educate patients on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including the concepts of Qi, Yin and Yang, and the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.
Provide information and guidance on adopting a healthy lifestyle, stress management techniques, and preventive measures to improve overall well-being.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, when necessary, to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.
Professional Development and Ethical Practice:
Stay updated with the latest research, developments, and advancements in Traditional Chinese Medicine through continued education and professional development activities.
Adhere to ethical standards, laws, and regulations governing TCM practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Live and work in Dubai United Arab Emirates
Completion of a recognized TCM program or degree from an accredited institution.
Certification or licensure as a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, as required by the relevant regulatory body or jurisdiction.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine theories, principles, and treatment modalities.
Proficiency in pulse and tongue diagnosis, and the ability to interpret and analyze diagnostic findings.
Demonstrated experience in developing personalized treatment plans and providing TCM therapies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with patients and explain complex concepts clearly.
Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and organized patient records.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with advancements in TCM.
