Fastenal USA Jobs Careers Description/Overview

AOVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Indirect Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the tax compliance functions relating to sales and use tax, personal property tax, and business license processing, as well as other analytical and administrative projects. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Coordinating and preparing filing of returns (sales and use tax, personal property tax, and business licenses) for domestic operations
o Gathering, organizing, and analyzing documents and data related to external audits of sales and use tax
o Assisting Fastenal branches, customers, and others with correct sales and use tax exemption requirements and other tax questions
o Reviewing financial and operational data
o Working to identify and implement procedural improvements to enhance efficiency
o Completing special projects and other administrative tasks as requiredREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess or are working towards an Business/Accounting related degree OR have administrative work experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
