As a member of our dynamic Risk Management team at Deriv, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining an effective risk and control environment in a dynamic industry that spans multiple jurisdictions.
Your task will be to manage risk identification and assessment, and mitigation of potential risks within the organisation. This may include financial risks, operational risks, and regulatory compliance risks.
In order to assist Deriv in effectively managing risks, you will collaborate with various departments within the organisation to offer recommendations for mitigating risks and optimising controls.
Your role has a global scope and will require significant engagement with the Operations and Compliance teams located in our offices around the world.
Your challenges
Assist business units within the organisation by identifying potential risks, providing timely recommendations, and supporting them in managing risks as a trusted business partner.
Perform risk assessment, analyse risk levels of different teams and business processes, and find apt risk response strategies to avert any potential crisis.
Support the development of guidelines, policies, and frameworks to strengthen risk management activities and practices within the organisation.
Stay up to date with the industry trends, emerging market risks, and regulatory updates to advise the management if and when required.
Instruct and advise internal and external stakeholders on the best practices and procedures of risk management to enable them to make sound decisions through training and guidance.
Requirements
3 – 7 years of experience in risk management or a similar role
Degree in risk management, finance, business, law, or any related field
Practical working knowledge of financial services compliance and operations, including the associated rules and regulations of the financial services industry
Strong understanding of risks, internal control, and business processes
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Meticulous, organised, and results-driven attitude
Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work well individually and in a team environment
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
