What You’ll Get to Do:

This position supporting USFOR-A is responsible for processing personnel investigations for special security clearance actions to include: Formulating and ensuring compliance with automated information systems security procedures. Suggesting, implementing and monitoring compliance with the ISAF/USFOR-A special security policies and procedures. Conducting and coordinating the training for special security representatives. Perform liaison with Government, NATO and industrial security officials. Support collateral and higher access and badging procedures for the ISAF/USFORA HQs.

More About the Role:

Counterintelligence (CI) analysts use a variety of classified and unclassified databases, software applications, and other intelligence research tools to identify, assimilate, examine, interpret, and evaluate all-source information/intelligence to determine the nature, function, interrelationships, personalities, capabilities, and intent regarding the intelligence capabilities of foreign powers, international terrorists and other entities and activities of CI interest.

This position supports the International Security Assistance Forces-Afghanistan (ISAF) and/or US Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A). Supports a CI/HUMINT or intelligence analytical team of military and/or DoD civilian analysts in support of CJ2X and CJ2 analytical requirements.

Provides analysis of Intelligence Information Reports (IIR)s/HUMINT Reports (HR)s and CI INTREPs, provides feedback and IIR/HR and CI INTREP evaluations, source directed requirements (SDR)s, time sensitive collection requirements (TSCR)s, ad-hoc collection requirements (AHCR)s, and supports source validation.

Conducts analysis of source reliability and report credibility and communicates the analysis to the collector in support of the source validation process.

The CI Analyst provides CI analysis and assessments in support of HUMINT source validation.

This position is mid-level analyst. The CI Analyst is responsible for researching, developing and presenting CI/HUMINT and all-source.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Must have an active TS/SCI

Associates Degree OR DoD specialized training or four years relevant DoD experience

A minimum of five years analytical experience with former MOS 18F, 35L, 35M, 351L/M, 97B, 97E, 35E, 35F, 350F, 35D, 34A OR other service equivalent specialty codes such as 18F = SF INTEL NCO OR 180A SF WO with ASOT-III, USAF 7S071 – Special Investigator (SI), USMC 0211 Counterintelligence/HUMINT (CI/HUMINT) specialist OR other DoD joint service equivalent specialty codes

Requires submission of an unclassified analytical writing sample on Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Al Qaeda, the Taliban, the Haqqani Network, ISIS, or the HIG (250-word minimum) with resume

Proficient in utilizing standard computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development

Possess strong research, analytical, and writing skills

Be capable of effectively operating as a member of an analytical team from a remote location in support of CJOA-A requirements

Briefing skills to include the ability to clearly articulate information.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

Bachelor’s degree

Experience in either CI, CT, Afghanistan/SWA regional issues, HUMINT, or political/military Analysis

Four years CI/HUMINT experience preferred
