Head of Climate Change & Policy

Roles and Responsibilities:

Write and edit clear, concise, and engaging copy content for ESG reports based on the different ESG Reporting Frameworks
Conduct research and gather information to develop accurate and informative content.
Collaborate with designers and other creative team members to develop visually compelling reports.
Develop and maintain a consistent corporate brand voice and tone across all content.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in copywriting and marketing.
Conducting in-depth research on industry-related topics to develop original content.
Requirements:

Completed at least 5 ESG reports
Proven English written communication skills; Writing clear, concise and grammatically correct content.
Proven experience in editing, proofreading, content layout and audience engagement
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully work across several writing projects simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism, or a related field.
Essential:

European Citizen; English as their mother tongue (British, American, or Canadian)

Position Details:

UAE full-time office attendance

Roles and Responsibilities:

Member of Climate Change & Policies team.
Manage the implementation and documentation of sustainability policies.
Responsible to manage schedules, resourcing, tasks, and quality control for their projects.
Responsible to ensure all required reporting for internal and external stakeholders is completed in accordance with the applicable reporting framework.
Shall be responsible to track and manage the progress of the project team’s compliance with the applicable policies, standards, and strategies.
Shall be the main focal point of contact with clients and the project team.
Shall participate in the development, update, enhancement, and implementation of Climate Change & Sustainability Policies.
Understand and implement the principles of project management (scheduling, resource leveling, effective meetings, client relations).
Develop technical strategies for energy, carbon, water, and waste management, mitigation, reduction, and neutrality.
Prepare and deliver technical and promotional Presentations.
Deliver White Papers as required by their line managers.
Support the company in its rapid growth plans.
Conduct product and technology research.
Contributions to regional publications, lectures, teaching assignments, speaking engagements, and webinar/seminars.
Maintain the required internal KPIs and strive for continued personal development.
Open for secondment roles.
Capable and able to travel on business trips.

Demonstrated project experience on 5 projects in a related role (Sustainability Consultancy)
Knowledge of current climate change issues and protocols
Knowledge of carbon accounting and the GHG Protocol
Familiar with Net Zero strategies and associated standards
Knowledge of current sustainability standards: LEED, Al Sa’fat, Estidama, Mostadam, BREEAM
(Preferred or commitment to achieve within specified timeframe) LEED AP, Estidama, BREEAM Accreditation or other certification as required to execute works
Comprehensive written & spoken Arabic and English
Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline (Environmental, Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture)
UAE experience
Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
Ability to self-manage
Strong communication skills (Written, electronic & spoken)

Additional Experience/Certifications:
UAE Citizen is preferred, followed by Arabic nationality
Hands-on engineering and project management skills (PMP)
Master’s Degree is a plus (not required)
UAE Driver’s license & personal mode of transportation
