Third Hazardous Materials Investigator
General Description
The incumbent of this job is concerned with participating in preparing and updating the database of hazardous materials , updating procedures for dealing with them , and participating in preparing training and awareness programs and specialized exercises necessary for the team dealing with various hazardous materials, and the incumbent has a slight degree of freedom of action in dealing with issues within the limits of laws, regulations and plans approved, and the work he performs is subject to careful review by the line manager .
Duties and responsibilities
The incumbent is subject to the direct supervision of the competent head, and the incumbent performs a set of works and operations according to procedures that require knowledge of the field of work .
It performs the following works:-
Participate in preparing and updating the database of hazardous materials.
Participate with the officials in the process of coordinating with the competent authorities in the field of hazardous materials present in the country, and determining their storage locations to develop the necessary plans to respond to them.
Participate in setting proactive plans and procedures on how to deal with hazardous materials based on the database and risk matrix.
Participate in the preparation of training and awareness programs and specialized exercises necessary for the team dealing with various hazardous materials, in the face of emergencies and disasters, and work to remove the negatives that may appear during practical experiments.
Participate in verifying and ensuring the availability, efficiency and readiness of the equipment used to deal with hazardous materials in accordance with the standards set.
Participate in the process of periodic evaluation and follow-up of the team dealing with hazardous materials and ensure its readiness.
He carries out what is assigned to him in the field of work.
