GAC Dubai is seeking candidates for the role of Air freight Manager to be based at the Cargo Village office in Dubai.
Key Duties
Monitor, evaluate and control operation processes
Monitor performance and mentor staff whenever necessary
Maintain relationships with airlines, suppliers, and authorities
Monitor and maintain customer satisfaction focusing on key customers
Manage department expenses, facilities, and resources
Maintain overseas partner relationships with a view to facilitate major project business / event logistics
Manage and coordinate operations of special project operations
Conduct recruitment of staff with HR
Maintain overseas agent relationships
Any tasks as delegated by Business Manager
Job requirements
Communication skills – ability to interact within and outside GAC using the English language
People management – to develop, assess and motivate people to achieve goals
Negotiation and influencing skills – ability to change behavior, inspire staff and create needs for client
Leadership – to influence, motivate and challenge individuals
Presentation skills – ability to present facts / information in concise and understandable manner
Risk management – ability to judge commercial situations, recognize risks and plan ahead
Minimum Qualifications and Other Requirements:
Graduate, University degree
UAE Driving License
International freight forwarding market and operational knowledge
Excellent English communication skills
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a freight forwarding role, and proven management and performance measurement experience.
